What is the Catherine Circle?
The Catherine Circle, a very significant giving circle, is a group of people who are passionate about supporting McAuley Community Services for Women and its works with women who are homeless as well as women and children experiencing family violence.
Its aim is to raise $100,000 each year, which will be invested into a program or service run by McAuley Community Services for Women.

Catherine Circle Winning Projects for 2016
The Catherine Circle was launched at a special cocktail function on 23 June 2016. Catherine Circle foundation members voted on the night for one of two high priority projects which require funding. Two projects were put to the members to vote on: the first project was to help homeless women become financially independent through employment and the second was to assist women and children to be able to stay in their own homes and for that environment to be made safe for them. The winning project was safe@home, but thanks to the extraordinary generosity of one person in the room, the other project was also funded. We welcomed five new members, who were inspired by the collaborative notion of giving circles, and pay tribute to our foundation members. Find out about the winning projects.
How the Catherine Circle works
Each year there will be an annual gathering of the Catherine Circle. McAuley Community Services for Women will introduce two high priority projects, which require funding.
Catherine Circle members will vote by ballot for one of the projects. The project with the highest votes will be supported for the year.
How the funds are invested?
All donations to The Catherine Circle are tax deductible. They are pooled and invested into a high yielding interest account.
How do I become a member?
Individual members are asked to make an annual gift of $1,000 for three years.
Simply fill in the online form and we will send you a tax-deductible receipt.
You will become a voting member with all the benefits outlined.
What if my friends or colleagues want to form a group?
That is fine. You could give as a family, a couple, book group or a work syndicate.
In order to have a vote, though, your group will have to nominate the ‘voting member’ and you have to donate $1,000 as a group.
